I don't normally write reviews, but this toy is so bad I feel like I have to warn everybody! I bought one about a month ago, and right out of the box it did not seem to work. In other words, the ball did whatever it wanted regardless of what the player was concentrating on. I thought I must have gotten a defective one, so I sent it back and bought another one. It turns out, the first one wasn't defective, the toy is just a big fat piece of junk. The fan is set to work in a certain way that has nothing to do with your brain waves or concentration level. It only took my 6 year old a few minutes to realize that he wasn't controlling the ball at all, and what a huge disappointment it was for him, since he is the ultimate Star Wars fan and was so excited about getting to learn how to use "the force!" You don't even have to be wearing the headset to make the ball move... just hold the headset in your hands and cover each of the three contact points with one of your fingers. The ball moves exactly the same way. Dumb, dumb, dumb. This toy preys on the gullibility of kids and I think that is just plain mean. It is fine if you have a child who doesn't figure out that he is being tricked, but for my son, it was very sad. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

I purchased the Uncle Milton Star War Trainer for my friend's son for Christmas. I told him if he did his homework and was good in school, Santa would bring him a Star War Trainer by Uncle Milton for Christmas. He followed my directions and hence came Christmas Day and there appeared the Star Wars toy. The Force Trainer is very poorly made and has very difficult instructions. We place in the batteries (brand new) and tried to work it. We tried everything - one hour later and with a new set of batteries (purchase on Christmas Day), the toy still would not work. It was literally a piece of "garbage"! Well, the child was really disappointed and his Christmas was ruined.
I called Uncle Milton to ask for a new one and some commendation for our wasted time and the disappointment of the young boy. There customer service department is a "JOKE". It seems they have never heard of the word "customer service". The woman told me to return it to them at my own cost or buy a new one from them. Are they kidding? She would not entertain my idea of a label to be sent to me. They just don't do that, she stated! What do they do then - sell defective toys and take no responsibility for them.
I have purchased many products from different stores and when I had a problem the company that produced the product always made good on the mistake or error and always wanted to keep my business so they would take care of the customer. Uncle Milton is the only company I have dealt with that has no care for the customer. They are callous and harsh. They made me return the item to Amazon, who gladly provided me with a return mail label and Amazon will take care of my refund.
in my opinion, Uncle Milton and their products are the worst I have ever dealt with, I will tell everyone to avoid this company. I will now purchase Mind Flex instead, I hear it a great toy and has rave reviews.
On a scale of 1 - 10 on my general evaluation of Uncle Milton - they receive a negative 1. The lowest score that I can give any company.
My suggestion - AVAID UNCLE MILTON AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!!

This game is merely that, a game. It does not truly measure your brain waves to control the air flow as the game indicates. The headset merely uses your skin surface to complete a circuit and then it controls the fan. Not sure if the headset has the preprogramed routine, or if the base does. I confirmed this function by completing the circuit with my hand (i.e. - Using one hand, I made contact with all three sensors to complete the circuit). Now unless brain waves travel through your hand as well, which they don't, the fan in the base began to turn on and off as if though I had it on my head. Thus confirming that the forehead sensor and other two sensors are merely positive and negative connections, and once connected, they complete the circuit and the headset then transmits to the base.

Don't get me wrong, an educated adult will quickly see through the smoke and mirrors and loose interest. But a child won't. They will indeed believe that they are controlling the device and want to show off to their friends. I can also see the educational value for those kids who have trouble concentrating and staying focused. Since they will be in awe of the game, they will learn to concentrate and focus.

Though the game attracted me by the brain wave claim, which it didn't deliver, since I did see the educational value for kids in it, I gave the game to my nephew who was in awe of it as I thought he'd be.

I enjoy playing with this toy even though I recently turned 70. It stimulates my mind to be able to use the force.

I bought this as a fun goofy wedding present...

It wasn't fun since I didn't also buy them a bunch of batteries too. I corrected that problem and came over to help set it up and play with it, but we didn't get past the calibration step since a blinking light indicated the fan was obstructed. Nothing was visibly blocking the fan and you could get it to turn by blowing on it....

So, I returned it to the vendor, and at least they were nice and took it with a full refund. But overall the whole unit seemed a bit flimsy for $[...].

And yes, don't worry, I got my daughter and her man a nice gift that they really needed (with a lifetime warranty)...
