My son did a good job building it, but once he tried playing with it the thing just fell apart. Trying to put it back together and having it fall apart in your hands over and over is very time consuming and very frustrating. Either put it on a shelf and admire its beauty or glue it.

Compact and durable! Very fun to play with. The only bad thing is that the Magnaguard pilot rolls around a little in the cockpit when you move the fighter around.

We Purchased this product for our son's 8th Birthday. He thouroughly enjoys it. He was able to build the entire ship on his own (we have another Star Wars ship that took both of us to complete). We will see how long it stays together before he builds multiple smaller ships out of it...

This was one of my son's favorite Hanukkah gifts - he could barely wait to put it together and spent a LOT of time over two days putting it together all by himself. He was just thrilled with the accomplishment and was eager to show it off to his father. As he did, it fell apart in so many places that he could not figure out how to get it back together after trying for about 1/2 hour and was fairly devastated. His dad then spent over an hour helping him figure out which pieces to put back together - it is FAR easier to put the toy together the first time, using the instruction booklet, than it is to try to repair a toy that is substantially put together and comes apart! My husband, who is very handy and generally loves puzzles, was disgusted by this set by the time it was finally fixed.

This morning, a friend came over whose older son also puts together a lot of Lego sets, and my son got this model to show to the other dad. The other dad barely touched it to admire it and it fell apart. My son is not quite so upset, but still is close to tears! I suggested that we take the entire thing apart and put it back together, gluing the pieces as they are snapped into place. He said that's not a good idea either, because if you make a mistake the toy is ruined forever.

His birthday is next Wednesday and there are two more Lego Star Wars sets waiting as gifts for him from family members who knew how pleased he was to get this one for Hanukkah. I can only hope that they stay together better than this set does!
